NIO, AutoNation and Li Auto Post July 2026 Delivery and Earnings Updates
NIO Inc. reported July 2026 deliveries of 35,934 vehicles, a 71% year‑over‑year increase, bringing year‑to‑date deliveries to 227,057 and cumulative deliveries to 1,224,649. The NIO All‑New ES8 reached 130,000 cumulative deliveries on July 22, just 305 days after its market launch, and the company began delivering a five‑seat version of the ES8.
AutoNation Inc. posted second‑quarter results with adjusted earnings per share of $5.56, beating estimates, on revenue of $6.93 billion, slightly below consensus. New‑vehicle unit sales fell 4% and battery‑electric vehicle sales dropped more than 30% year over year, while after‑sales gross profit hit a record $607 million. The company repurchased $457 million of shares and acquired four dealerships expected to add about $600 million in annual revenue. Shares opened lower, gapping down to around $196.80.
Li Auto Inc. announced July 2026 deliveries of 30,468 vehicles, raising its cumulative deliveries to 1,764,155. The firm launched the new Li L6 model and reported that cumulative deliveries of the Li L9 surpassed 300,000 units, with localized production beginning in Kazakhstan. Li Auto now operates 490 retail stores in 159 cities and over 4,100 super‑charging stations across China.
