Liam Lawson reveals panic over George Russell's charge in Singapore GP

Untelevised radio communications from the Singapore Grand Prix have revealed that Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson admitted to feeling panic during the closing stages of the race. Lawson expressed concern regarding the pace of Mercedes driver George Russell, who was on a recovery drive after an engine penalty.

Despite the tension, Lawson secured a seventh-place finish at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. This result, combined with a fifth-place finish in the Saturday sprint, has strengthened Racing Bulls' position in the constructors' standings. The team currently holds a 32-point lead over Alpine with six rounds remaining in the season.

Lawson also commented on the physical toll of the race, describing himself as “pretty f**ked” when asked by his race engineer, Alexandre Iliopoulos, about his condition following the grueling event.
