Liberia marks 179th Flag Day and initiates school record standardization

Liberia is preparing for its 179th National Flag Day, with Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan designated as the National Orator. Under the theme ‘From Heritage to Hope: The Flag That Unites Us,’ Ngafuan is expected to address national unity, citizenship, and the country’s economic and development trajectory.

Separately, the Liberian Ministry of Education has launched a technical initiative to standardize school record-keeping nationwide. During a session in Kakata, Margibi County, Education Minister Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah called for improved accuracy in tracking student, teacher, and infrastructure data. The ministry is developing a Statutory School Record-Keeping Booklet to ensure that data from individual schools informs county-level planning and national resource allocation.
