Guanajuato Governor Libia Dennise García Leads GOAN
On 5 August 2026 the governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, assumed the presidency of the Association of Governors of National Action Party (GOAN) in a ceremony in San Miguel de Allende. She succeeded Chihuahua’s governor María Eugenia Campos Galván, who praised García’s leadership and handed over the mandate.
García pledged to reinforce federalism, promote coordination among the PAN‑governed states and deliver solutions that improve families’ quality of life. She highlighted the GOAN’s role as a platform where state executives share successful policies, build joint projects and defend a strong, decentralized Mexico. The association’s current members include Aguascalientes Governor María Teresa Jiménez Esquivel, Querétaro Governor Mauricio Kuri González and Chihuahua Governor María Eugenia Campos Galván.
In her inaugural address García reiterated the commitment “to stay close to the people, listen to them and work together to achieve better results for Mexican families.” The transition marks a new phase for GOAN’s collaborative agenda across the country.
