Library networks receive recognition and host regional summits

The Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP) is hosting the 61st Ordinary Session of the Central-South Region Library Network (REBICS) and the 18th Library Meeting of the ANUIES Central-South Region. The event brings together specialists, writers, and professionals to discuss the role of libraries in fostering research, critical thinking, and academic development amidst current technological challenges.

In another development, Bogotá’s District Public Library Network, BibloRed, has been awarded the 2026 UNESCO Rey Sejong International Literacy Prize. The recognition highlights public policies that utilize reading, writing, and oral skills as tools for social inclusion and diversity.
