Lidl muesli products receive top ratings in Öko-Test

Lidl has secured top ratings in a recent Öko-Test evaluation of fruit and berry muesli. Out of 40 products tested, including both organic and conventional varieties, two products from Lidl’s Crownfield brand received the grade “sehr gut” (very good).

The top-performing organic option is the Crownfield Bio Dinkel Hafer-Müsli Früchte-Feige, which carries the Bioland seal and is priced at approximately 2.99 Euro per 500 grams. Additionally, the conventional Crownfield Früchte Hafer-Müsli also achieved the highest rating and is noted for its affordability at 1.66 Euro per 500 grams.

The laboratory testing focused on various contaminants, including sugar levels, pesticides, heavy metals, and mold toxins. The study highlighted a significant price gap in the market, noting that the most expensive muesli tested cost nearly five times as much as the leading Lidl products.
