Lidl offers discounts for long checkout wait times

Lidl has implemented a policy to compensate customers for long wait times at checkout. If the waiting period exceeds five minutes, customers are eligible for an immediate 50 CZK discount on their current purchase.

Unlike some competitors, such as Kaufland, which provides a voucher for future purchases, Lidl's policy allows for an immediate deduction from the current transaction. This initiative aims to increase customer satisfaction and address the fact that approximately 27% of grocery shoppers find checkout delays bothersome.
