Lidl retail service and checkout updates

Overview

Lidl has introduced several initiatives aimed at improving the checkout experience for customers. In Hungary, the retailer began rolling out next-generation self-service checkouts designed to be more compact and efficient. These machines feature updated software and larger interfaces, with plans to expand self-service zones across approximately 110 stores to accommodate high customer traffic.

In the Czech Republic, Lidl implemented a policy to address customer dissatisfaction regarding wait times. If a customer waits longer than five minutes at checkout, they are eligible for an immediate 50 CZK discount on their current purchase.
