Liechtenstein Prime Minister to visit Vietnam to boost economic ties

Liechtenstein Prime Minister Brigitte Haas is scheduled to pay an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung. This visit marks the first official trip to Vietnam by a Liechtenstein Prime Minister.

Vietnam’s Ambassador to Switzerland and concurrent Ambassador to Liechtenstein, Chau Mai Anh, stated that the visit is expected to strengthen economic and technological ties between the two nations. The diplomatic mission aims to foster concrete initiatives in the business and technology sectors, leveraging Liechtenstein’s expertise in highly specialized and globally competitive companies.

The visit follows the conclusion of negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) in July 2026. This agreement is intended to provide a framework for expanded trade, investment, and business alliances between Vietnam and EFTA members, including Liechtenstein.
