Lieutenant Colonel Rosa Neto denies feminicide charges

Lieutenant Colonel Rosa Neto, accused of the feminicide of soldier Gisele, has provided testimony denying the charges and claiming his wife committed suicide. During his interrogation, Neto alleged that the physical evidence, specifically strangulation marks on the victim's neck and face, may have been fabricated by the victim's family or legal representatives at the morgue. He has requested a review of security footage from the morgue to investigate this claim.

Neto also criticized the Civil Police, labeling them “extremely biased,” and suggested that the victim's mobile phone may have been accessed by third parties to forge digital records. Regarding his current incarceration, the officer expressed dissatisfaction with being housed in a military prison alongside lower-ranking personnel, such as corporals and soldiers, whom he previously supervised. He argued that officers should receive sentence reductions due to the difficulties of being imprisoned with subordinates.

Legal representatives for Gisele's family have dismissed these claims, noting that forensic evidence indicates suicide was impossible. The family's lawyer has stated intentions to sue the Lieutenant Colonel for his statements.
