Liguria adds €1 million to agricultural innovation scheme and earmarks €800 k for interior small‑business aid

The Liguria regional government increased the budget for the SRG01 agricultural innovation call by €1 million, raising the total allocation to €3,166,967.28. The extra funding will cover all 24 eligible projects, which involve farms, research institutes and universities and target areas such as floriculture, olive and grape production, livestock, circular‑economy practices and the use of drones, biostimulants, LED lighting and smart irrigation. Regional agriculture assessor Alessandro Piana said the boost demonstrates Liguria’s commitment to competitive, sustainable farming and climate‑resilient production.

In a separate measure, the region confirmed that about €800 000 remains available to support roughly 200 small enterprises in municipalities with fewer than 5,000 residents. The FilseBonus provides a €3,600 grant per firm to offset rent and utility costs for 2024, while a complementary scheme managed by the Genoa Chamber of Commerce offers €300 per month for five years to new businesses in towns under 2,500 inhabitants. Piana noted that 17 firms have already opened in interior areas under the programme and expects further uptake.
