The Liguria Region has announced several initiatives to support economic development and professional training. Using 2.2 million euros from the European Social Fund Plus (FSE+) 2021-2027, the region will fund professional apprenticeship programs for 3,081 new trainees. These programs, delivered by 52 accredited training bodies, will focus on essential skills such as digital literacy, foreign languages, workplace safety, and organizational skills to facilitate smoother transitions into the workforce.

Additionally, the region and Filse have launched ‘Liguria Open Boost,’ an open innovation program designed to connect the local production system with the innovation ecosystem, including startups and research centers. In the agricultural sector, the region has reopened applications for rural development grants totaling over 24 million euros. This includes 4.8 million euros to support young farmers and 19.6 million euros for productive agricultural investments to enhance competitiveness.
