Liguria tourism climbs 6.6% in the first half of 2026

Tourist arrivals in Liguria grew by 6.56% in the first six months of 2026, outpacing the national increase of 4.43%, according to the Ministry of Tourism’s Alloggiati Web data. International visitors drove most of the growth, rising 6.45%, while domestic travel rose 1.97%. The region’s performance placed it alongside Sardinia, Puglia, Piedmont and Calabria as a leading contributor to Italy’s overall tourism expansion.

In the nearby town of Diano Marina, the municipal council approved the 2027‑2029 Unified Planning Document (Dup) and confirmed a balanced 2026 budget. The council noted stable numbers of productive activities, a slight decline in tourist‑apartment rentals, and continued growth in hotel stays. The meeting also addressed the future use of the former Angolo di Sogno campsite and the “Incompiuta” area, outlining plans for public sports facilities and community access.
