Lil Nas X releases new single ‘World’s Greatest’

Lil Nas X has released his new single, ‘World’s Greatest’, marking his first musical release in approximately one and a half years. Released via Columbia Records, the track is a personal anthem dedicated to his late mother, Tamikia Hill, who passed away in August.

The song, which interpolates his 2021 hit ‘INDUSTRY BABY’, was written entirely by the artist and produced by C. WRAY and Steve Rusch. The accompanying music video, directed by Phillip Youmans and filmed in Atlanta, explores the artist's journey from his childhood to his current status as a global performer.

This comeback follows a period of personal challenges for the artist, including a bipolar disorder diagnosis and time spent in rehabilitation. Lil Nas X has indicated that he is currently ‘doing better’ and ‘creating freely’ following his recovery process.
