Limassol police seize 27kg of ketamine and arrest two suspects
Police in Limassol have seized a significant quantity of narcotics during a raid on an apartment. The Drug Enforcement Unit (YKAN) discovered approximately 27.5 kilograms of ketamine, along with smaller amounts of cocaine, MDMA, methamphetamine, and cannabis.
Two Israeli nationals, aged 23 and 24, were arrested during the operation. Reports indicate that the suspects attacked officers during the arrest, resulting in a minor injury to a police officer. Authorities also seized approximately 10,000 euros in cash at the scene.
Investigators are currently examining whether this seizure is linked to a previous major case involving nearly 400 kilograms of ketamine found in the Limassol area. The two suspects are expected to appear before court to face charges.
