Limmerstraße to undergo six-week tram track renovation

The Infrastrukturgesellschaft Region Hannover (infra) has announced a six-week renovation of light rail tracks on Limmerstraße in Linden. The project, scheduled to run from August 31, 2026, to October 9, 2026, aims to replace tracks that have suffered significant wear from decades of use by tram lines 10 and 12.

During the construction period, Limmerstraße will be closed to individual vehicle traffic between Offensteinstraße and Ungerstraße. Light rail services will also be suspended for several days during the track replacement phase. While through traffic is prohibited, access to residential and commercial properties will be maintained via dead-end regulations, and emergency vehicles will have continuous access.
