Lincoln Plans Luxury Bronco SUV and Possible EV Continental

Lincoln is developing a premium off‑road SUV based on the Ford Bronco platform. The model will prioritize high‑level comfort and refined interior work rather than extreme off‑road capability, aiming to compete with the Mercedes‑G, Lexus GX and Land Rover Defender. It will replace the Corsair crossover after its 2026 production end and may use a 6‑cylinder turbo engine, a hybrid system, or a new extended‑range electric‑rear‑wheel (EREV) powertrain that Ford is already developing.

Separately, speculation has arisen that Lincoln could revive the Continental sedan using Ford’s new universal EV platform. CEO Jim Farley has hinted at an affordable electric Lincoln with extensive colour and interior‑customisation options, suggesting a possible return of a large‑bodied luxury sedan to the brand’s lineup.
