Linda Hamilton rejects return to Terminator franchise

Linda Hamilton, 70, has announced she will not return to the Terminator franchise, definitively closing her chapter as Sarah Connor. The actress expressed that she has nothing left to say regarding the role, describing the saga as being ‘done to death’.

Hamilton noted that while she finds it a mystery why there are attempts to relaunch the series, she acknowledges that the Hollywood industry is largely built on remakes, sequels, and reboots. Her last appearance in the franchise was in the 2019 film Terminator: Dark Fate, produced by James Cameron. Despite efforts to return the series to its original roots, that installment failed to satisfy critics or audiences, contributing to her decision to move on from the character.
