LinkedIn Introduces 'Seems Like AI Slop' Reporting Button

LinkedIn, the Microsoft‑owned professional networking platform, has added a new reporting option labeled “Seems like AI slop.” The button appears alongside the existing Save, Share and Report choices and lets users flag low‑effort, AI‑generated posts that are perceived as low quality.

Chief Product Officer Hari Srinivasan said the feature will help train LinkedIn’s own AI systems to better identify and reduce such content, aiming to improve feed relevance for members. The move reflects growing concerns about the flood of AI‑created material on social media and its indirect effects on hardware demand.

By enabling users to directly label AI‑slop, LinkedIn hopes to curb the spread of generic, mass‑produced posts while preserving the usefulness of legitimate AI tools.
