Mexican authorities arrest several alleged criminal leaders

Mexican federal and state authorities have conducted a series of high-profile operations resulting in the arrests of several suspected criminal leaders.

In Veracruz, Samuel de la Cruz Anaya, alias “El Panda,” was detained in Coatzacoalcos. He is identified as a suspected regional leader for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) operating in Jáltipan, Cosoleacaque, and Minatitlán. Authorities link him to kidnapping, extortion, drug sales, and fuel theft. The arrest was part of the “Estrategia Refuerzo Coatzacoalcos,” which has reportedly led to 163 detentions and an estimated 40 million pesos in economic impact on criminal groups.

In the State of Mexico, Lino Adame Soto, alias “El Patrón,” was arrested in Ixtapaluca. He is the alleged leader of the “Los Linos” group, which operates in several municipalities in Morelos. His organization is accused of extortion, homicide, vehicle theft, and trafficking cocaine from Central America to the United States. His arrest follows a May operation where eight other members of the same group were detained.

Additionally, in Mexico City, Bojun “N,” alias “El Chino,” was arrested during a search in the Miguel Hidalgo borough. He is suspected of leading a money laundering network serving a criminal organization, with activities spanning the capital, Tijuana, and Cancún. Authorities seized approximately 43.7 million pesos in cash, including US dollars, along with drugs and weapons.
