Lions Clubs launch charity advent calendars for local causes

Various Lions Club chapters in Germany are launching their annual advent calendar fundraisers to support local community initiatives and addiction prevention programs.

In the Bergisch Gladbach and Bensberg region, the Lions-Förderverein Bensberg-Schloss e. V. and Lions-Förderverein Bergisch Gladbach/Bensberg e. V. have released their 24th calendar. The proceeds support the Kids & Co addiction prevention program, which assists children and adolescents with addicted parents. This year's edition features 8,000 copies and includes prizes such as a gold bar valued at 2,000 euros.

Similarly, the Lions Club Werne is beginning sales of its advent calendar at the Sim-Jü-Krammarkt. The funds raised from this initiative are designated for the Klasse2000 program, which promotes healthy development and social competence in primary schools across Werne, Selm, and Lünen.
