Lions Club charity advent calendar fundraisers in Germany
Overview
Various Lions Club chapters across Germany have launched their annual advent calendar fundraisers to support local community initiatives.
In the Datteln and Waltrop regions, the Lions Club Datteln and Waltrop released 8,000 calendars priced at five euros each to benefit children and youth projects. This year’s initiative features prizes valued at approximately 30,000 euros, including electronics, e-bikes, and hotel stays.
In the Oberberg region, the Lions Club Gummersbach-Aggertal is continuing a 22-year tradition. In cooperation with the Aggertal, Gummersbach, and Oberberg clubs, the edition features the Bergneustädter Heimatmuseum on its cover. The club aims to distribute 200 prizes worth a total of 21,000 euros, contributing to a two-decade legacy that has raised roughly 700,000 euros.
In Jülich, the Lions Club Jülich Juliacum is marking its 20th year of this initiative with 3,000 calendars featuring an aerial view of the town’s new marketplace. The calendar contains approximately 300 prizes, with special grand prizes scheduled for December 6 and December 24.
In Hünfeld, the Lions Club is offering calendars featuring the Ilmesmühle as a motif. The initiative includes prizes valued at over 7,000 euros provided by local businesses, with all proceeds benefiting regional social projects.
Other regional efforts include the Lions-Förderverein Bensberg-Schloss e. V. and Lions-Förderverein Bergisch Gladbach/Bensberg e. V., which released their 24th calendar to support the ‘Kids & Co’ addiction prevention program. Additionally, the Lions Club Werne is selling calendars at the Sim-Jü-Krammarkt for the ‘Klasse2000’ program, and the Lions Club Langenhagen has unveiled its 2026 calendar, ‘A Sleigh Full of Gifts’.
