Lisbon Metropolitan Area hosts cultural strategy workshop
The Lisbon Metropolitan Area (AML), in collaboration with DINÂMIA’CET from the ISCTE, held a workshop titled ‘Strategies for Culture’ at the Marvila Library. The event brought together approximately 100 participants, including cultural agents, local officials, and municipal technicians.
The workshop is part of the development of the Strategic Plan for Culture of the Lisbon Metropolitan Region. This plan follows a 2023 Charter of Intent signed by the AML and 18 municipalities. The initiative focuses on five strategic pillars: metropolitan governance for culture, innovative action for territorial cohesion, network collaboration, the valuation of material and immaterial metropolitan culture, and increasing the visibility of the metropolitan creative ecosystem.
Participants worked in groups to propose projects and measures aimed at fostering joint action across the metropolitan scale. The contributions gathered will be systematized by the strategy team, with the final plan expected to be completed by the end of the year.
