Literary and art events scheduled in Sremska Mitrovica and Skopje

Several literary and artistic events are scheduled for September 17 in Sremska Mitrovica and Skopje.

In Sremska Mitrovica, the Lazar Vozarević Gallery will host the promotion of Sandra Štetina’s novel, ‘Napoli’. The book presents a 150-year family chronicle spanning locations from Vienna and Budapest to Belgrade, Milan, Rome, and Naples. The narrative focuses on the life of Ružica Klajn, a ballerina and actress, exploring themes of family secrets, love, and resilience. The event will include an artistic program featuring various scholars, critics, and performers.

In Skopje, the Metanoja gallery will host a dual event featuring the promotion of Kosta Milkov’s new children’s book, ‘Zlatni svet’ (Golden World), alongside an illustration exhibition by Vladimir Ilievski. The book is described as a parable regarding the struggle between good and evil. The event includes contributions from editor Nada Milkova and foreword author Gabriela Milkova-Robins.
