Literary book promotions held in Podgorica and Novi Sad

Several literary promotions have recently taken place in Montenegro and Serbia. In Podgorica, the KIC Budo Tomović will host a promotion for the novel ‘Monik bježi’ (Monique Escapes) by French author Édouard Louis on Tuesday, October 13. The event, organized by Karver Bookstore, features the first Montenegrin translation of the work, translated by Prof. Dr. Jasna Tatar Anđelić. The novel is an autobiographical account exploring themes of family, gender roles, and social constraints.

In Novi Sad, author Snežana Vranić presented her novel ‘Zloupotreba vremena’ (Misuse of Time) at the Studentski kulturni centar on October 7. The discussion, moderated by Nenad Đukin, explored the psychological and philosophical layers of the science fiction work, which follows a protagonist undergoing a twelve-year stay in a ‘Clinic for Dreams’ to escape emotional pain.
