Literary events scheduled at Croatian city libraries

Several literary events are scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, at public libraries in Croatia.

In Virovitica, the City Library and Reading Room will host the presentation of “Pohvala odriješenim rukama: odvažna čitanja i kritičke pedagogije” by Dr. Nataša Govedić. The event is part of the “Virovitica – grow with a book, build a community” program. Prior to the book presentation, Professor Govedić will engage with young users in a discussion regarding reading, literature, and the importance of cultural literacy as part of the “Functional Literacy” project.

In Varaždin, the Metel Ožegović City Library and Reading Room will host a presentation of the book “Mudrost Indijanaca” (Wisdom of the Indians). Organized by the New Acropolis cultural association in cooperation with the library, the event features a collection of wise sayings and thoughts from great indigenous leaders, focusing on their connection to nature and life experiences.
