Literary and cultural events in Croatia

Overview

Various literary and cultural events are scheduled across several Croatian cities in mid-September.

In Virovitica, the City Library and Reading Room will host a presentation of “Pohvala odriješenim rukama: odvažna čitanja i kritičke pedagogije” by Dr. Nataša Govedić, which includes a discussion on cultural literacy for young users. In Varaždin, the Metel Ožegović City Library and Reading Room will present “Mudrost Indijanaca” (Wisdom of the Indians), focusing on indigenous wisdom and nature.

In Zagreb, the literary season includes a discussion with poet Ognjenka Lakićević regarding psychotherapy and poetry, as well as the promotion of Monika Herceg’s debut novel, ‘Ovdje počinje šuma’, at the Vladimir Nazora Library. Additional cultural activities in the capital include the ‘Priče koje nas povezuju’ photography exhibition and a linguistic event titled ‘Jezikova juha’.
