Lithuania allocates €24 million for social innovation

Lithuania is allocating nearly 24 million euros to foster social innovation, aimed at improving the quality of life for vulnerable groups. These funds, sourced from the 2021–2027 European Union investment program, will support the development and testing of new solutions in the fields of education, health, and social protection.

The Central Project Management Agency has announced a call for proposals titled ‘Creation and Testing of Social Innovations’. The initiative seeks to move beyond mere ideas to implement practical products, services, or models that address evolving social challenges.

In addition to funding specific innovations, the project intends to strengthen the social innovation ecosystem by providing consultancy for organizations, monitoring progress, encouraging collaboration, and increasing public awareness of social impact solutions.
