Lithuania and Estonia discuss drone security and regional defense

Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius visited Tallinn to meet with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal to address regional security challenges, specifically regarding drone incursions. Both nations have faced issues with drones, including incidents involving Ukrainian-made drones influenced by Russia entering their territories.

The leaders discussed the need for a coordinated response to these aerial threats and the potential for Russian attacks on critical infrastructure in the Baltic region. Beyond security, the discussions covered support for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, defense industry cooperation, and large-scale infrastructure projects such as Rail Baltica.
