Lithuania average wages continue to rise in Q2 2026

Average wages in Lithuania continued to rise in the second quarter of 2026. The average monthly gross salary reached 2,628.2 euros, representing a 2.9 percent increase compared to the first quarter. The average net salary (take-home pay) rose by 2.4 percent to 1,594.9 euros.

Growth was more pronounced in the public sector, where the average gross salary reached 2,819.1 euros, a 4.6 percent quarterly increase. In the private sector, the average gross salary was 2,547.9 euros, up 2.2 percent from the start of the year. Net wages in the public sector averaged 1,705.6 euros, while the private sector averaged 1,554.2 euros.

On an annual basis, the average monthly gross salary increased by 10.1 percent compared to the second quarter of 2025. The real wage index for the country stood at 103.4 percent, indicating that wage growth has outpaced inflation. The highest quarterly growth rates were observed in agriculture, forestry, and fishing (7.8 percent), water supply and waste management (6.9 percent), and mining (5.4 percent).
