Lithuania Braces for Cyclone Floora as Week‑Long Weather Shifts Forecast
Meteorologist E. Latvėnaitė warned that the cyclonic system named Floora will reach southern Sweden on Monday night and affect the eastern part of Lithuania. The forecast calls for localized thunderstorms, strong gusts up to 21 m/s and possible hail in the early hours, with rain persisting through Monday and Tuesday. A cold atmospheric front will accompany the rain, bringing cooler conditions.
From Wednesday onward an anticylone is expected to move in from the southwest, bringing drier and milder weather. Temperatures are projected to rise to 22‑26 °C during the day, with nighttime lows between 14‑18 °C. The weekend should remain warm with occasional short‑lived showers, especially along the coast, while wind speeds gradually lessen.
Overall, the week will transition from unsettled, stormy conditions to calmer, warmer weather across Lithuania.
