Lithuania faces wet, windy autumn weather and seasonal skin changes
Lithuania is experiencing a shift toward wetter and windier autumn weather. According to the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service, rain is expected across many regions starting Tuesday, with potentially heavy rainfall on Thursday. Wind gusts along the coast may reach 15-16 m/s, and temperatures are expected to remain between 11-18 degrees Celsius, though the combination of wind and moisture will make it feel significantly colder.
These changing weather conditions are also impacting skin health. Dermatovenerologist Iveta Gylienė notes that the transition to colder, windier weather and the use of indoor heating can lead to increased skin dryness. While many experience simple seasonal dryness, persistent itching, redness, or blistering may indicate dermatitis. Data suggests women are twice as likely as men to report skin dryness issues.
