Lithuanian architecture and urbanism events to explore city identity

Upcoming architectural and urbanist events in Lithuania will explore the evolution of city spaces and the role of design in creating urban identity.

The STRUCTUM and Lithuanian Architects' Union conference, titled ‘Architecture of Tomorrow: Icons, Cities, and Visions’, will feature prominent professionals including National Culture and Arts Prize laureate Audrius Ambrasas, professor Tomas Grunskis, and RSHP associate director Jack Evans-Newton. The discussions will address whether a city's identity is defined by world-renowned architects or by local builders and unexpected design decisions that enrich the urban fabric.

In Panevėžys, the ‘City Change Pavilion’ will host a series of discussions curated by landscape architect Povilas Marozas. The program focuses on the transformation of urban and cultural spaces, examining industrial heritage, ecology, and the relationship between art and public spaces. The event aims to critically reflect on Panevėžys' recent urban changes and look toward the city's future through various professional and geographical perspectives.
