Lithuanian Constitutional Court Petitioned Over Israeli Student Accused of Gaza War Crimes

The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) has filed a petition with Lithuania’s Constitutional Court demanding an investigation into an Israeli dental student, identified as Sean Gor (S.G.), for alleged war crimes and genocide committed in the Gaza Strip.

HRF claims the student served in the IDF’s 52nd Battalion, took part in the destruction of civilian infrastructure such as UNRWA headquarters and Shifa Hospital, and was involved in the killing of Hind Rajab and members of her family. The foundation argues that Lithuania is violating its constitution and international law by refusing to apply universal jurisdiction while the suspect resides in the country.

Lithuanian prosecutors previously rejected HRF’s complaint and subsequent appeals, stating the alleged offenses occurred outside Lithuanian territory. The petition seeks to overturn that decision; HRF has also lodged similar complaints in Germany and links the case to ongoing ICC and ICJ proceedings concerning Israel.
