Lithuanian folklore ensembles perform at international festivals in Poland

Lithuanian folklore ensembles have participated in international cultural festivals in Poland, showcasing regional traditions to foreign audiences.

The folk dance collective ‘Kadagys’, led by Justinas Baltulionis, traveled to the Tatra region, including Zakopane, from August 13 to 17. The group performed at the ‘Jarmark Podhalański’ international festival in Nowy Targ and at the XVII European Regional Products Fair in Zakopane. The ensemble presented Lithuanian folk dance traditions and the specific culture of the Dzūkija region through energetic performances and traditional costumes.

Additionally, the ‘Runga’ folklore ensemble from Elektrėnai participated in the XIII Krakow Summer Folklore and Arts Festival from August 7 to 11. The festival aimed to promote cultural dialogue and provide a platform for international groups to present their national traditions to a global audience.
