Eastern European folklore performances in Europe

Various Eastern European folklore ensembles participated in international cultural festivals across Europe during August 2026.

In Italy, Slovak cultural groups showcased national traditions. The Bl. P. P. Gojdič Choir performed spiritual and choral works in Old Church Slavonic at the VI. Cultural Dialogue on the Same Stage festival in Rimini. Additionally, the Skaličan Folklore Ensemble performed at the 47th Rassegna Internazionale del Folklore in Umbria, completing six performances in locations such as Moiano and Cortona.

In Poland, Lithuanian ensembles presented regional traditions. The folk dance collective ‘Kadagys’ performed at the ‘Jarmark Podhalański’ festival and the XVII European Regional Products Fair in the Tatra region, highlighting the culture of the Dzūkija region. Meanwhile, the ‘Runga’ folklore ensemble participated in the XIII Krakow Summer Folklore and Arts Festival to promote cultural dialogue.
