Liverpool FC explores minority stake sale to Amit Bhatia-led consortium
Fenway Sports Group, the owners of Liverpool Football Club, confirmed that a consortium headed by British‑Indian businessman Amit Bhatia is in talks to acquire a strategic minority stake of up to 30 percent in the club. CEO Billy Hogan said the group has expressed interest and that discussions are ongoing. Financial‑Times reporting values the club at more than £4.5 billion in a potential deal. The consortium has reportedly approached high‑profile investors such as Jeff Bezos and Eduardo Saverin to join the investment.
The talks come as Liverpool prepares for the upcoming season under new manager Andoni Iraola, and the club is seeking additional capital following a previous investment by Dynasty Equity in 2023.
