Liverpool woman arrested after £10m cocaine seizure

Police in Merseyside arrested a 53‑year‑old woman from Liverpool on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs after a raid on a property in Old Swan uncovered more than 100 kg of cocaine, estimated to be worth £10 million. The operation was carried out by Merseyside Police’s Liverpool proactive team together with Project Medusa, a local initiative targeting county‑lines drug dealing and child criminal exploitation. Detective Inspector Gary Stratton said this was the second major class A drug seizure in Merseyside this week, following a previous haul of 38 kg of cocaine valued at £2.6 million.

The woman will be taken to a police station for questioning. Police highlighted the damaging impact of organised crime on communities and urged the public to report any drug‑related concerns via 101, the police’s X account, or Crimestoppers.
