Liverpool drug raid and arrests
Entities: Jon Hughes · Paul Lockyer · Kev Chatterton · Merseyside Police · National Crime Agency
Overview
In early July 2026, police in Liverpool arrested a woman following the seizure of £10 million worth of cocaine. The following weeks saw a larger operation by the Merseyside Organised Crime Partnership in the Speke district. On 28 July, officers seized a Sea‑Doo jet ski, a Mercedes X250 pickup, several cars, a Peugeot Boxer, a VW, a Cube e‑bike, two Rolex watches, cash, a PS5, iPhones and other items. Two suspects—a 37‑year‑old man and a 29‑year‑old woman—were detained on suspicion of possessing criminal property and intent to supply Class B drugs and released on bail. The raid also resulted in the forfeiture of £1.8 million in cash, the removal of 33 firearms, and the identification of £51 million in criminal proceeds for confiscation, highlighting the ongoing effort to dismantle a 24/7 drug operation linked to earlier convictions.
