Livestock auctions report strong demand in Paraguay and Argentina

In Paraguay, the Las Talas auction held at Jardines de El Rodeo saw high participation and sustained demand across three cattle breeds. A total of 150 bulls were sold, with Brangus bulls reaching average prices of Gs. 28 million, Brahman averaging Gs. 23 million, and Braford averaging approximately Gs. 22.5 million. The event also included Quarter Horse and Criollo equine specimens.

In Argentina, a historic livestock auction took place in Fuerte Esperanza, Chaco, involving 386 animals from both small and large-scale producers. Supported by the Chaco provincial government through an assisted auction program, the initiative aimed to reduce costs for producers by eliminating commissions, track fees, and providing freight assistance. Production Minister Oscar Dudik noted that such programs are designed to help producers access competitive markets and improve regional livestock development.
