Livestock prices fluctuate across Serbian markets

Livestock prices in Serbia have shown varied trends depending on the region and animal category. In the Užice market, Simmental calves weighing 80 to 120 kg saw price increases, ranging from 700 to 1,000 dinars per kilogram, with a dominant price of 900 din/kg.

In contrast, several slaughterhouses reported price decreases. In the Zlatibor region, purchase prices fell for bulls (450 din/kg), cows for slaughter (310 din/kg), and calves (730 din/kg). The South Banat district also saw a decline in prices for cattle heavier than 480 kg, with prices ranging between 430 and 450 din/kg. In Loznica, bulls over 500 kg were purchased at lower rates, typically around 460 din/kg, while in Šabac, cattle over 480 kg were also bought at lower prices than the previous period.

Other notable shifts include a rise in lamb prices in Pirot, reaching 600 din/kg due to low supply, and price increases for pigs in Kraljevo and Vranje. In the South Banat district, piglet prices (16–25 kg) fell to a dominant price of 280 din/kg.
