Livestock sector projects beef prices above US$ 5.70 per kilo
Carlos Pedretti, director of Ganadera Amanecer, projects a favorable outlook for the livestock business during the final quarter of the year. He anticipates that beef prices could rise above US$ 5.70 and US$ 5.80 per kilogram of carcass, with high-quality or high-volume deals potentially reaching the US$ 6.00 mark.
Key drivers for this potential increase include competitive feed costs, reasonable replacement levels, and rising industrial demand. Specifically, the upcoming kosher slaughter season for Israel is expected to boost purchasing needs. Pedretti noted that producers with sufficient infrastructure and feed supplies are currently in an ideal position to benefit from these projected price improvements.
