Ljubljana and Split airports report record passenger traffic

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport reached its one-millionth passenger of the year three weeks earlier than in the previous year. The airport experienced a record-breaking July, with 208,638 passengers, marking the first time monthly traffic has exceeded 200,000 since 2019.

During the first six months of the year, the airport handled over 790,000 passengers, a nearly 15% increase compared to the same period last year. Fraport Slovenija noted that the airport ranks among the three fastest-growing in the EU for the first half of the year, following airports in Slovakia and Malta. Upcoming winter schedules include new connections to London Luton and Tenerife.

In Croatia, Split Airport recorded its highest July traffic with 770,000 passengers, the highest among Croatian airports. The airport reported an 85% load factor for the month. Regional maritime traffic in Split is also seeing a peak, with significant increases in passenger and vehicle numbers through the city port.
