Ljubljana Railway Station restores central platforms

Major infrastructure works at the Ljubljana Railway Station have reached a significant milestone with the completion of primary work on the platform infrastructure. As of today, temporary platforms have been removed, and all passenger trains have returned to the central platforms of the main station.

According to the Directorate of RS for Infrastructure, seven new platforms are now available to passengers. This change is expected to provide easier and faster access to trains, improving the overall travel experience for passengers using Slovenske železnice services.

While the central platforms are operational, construction continues on other parts of the station. Work is ongoing on the southern side to arrange the overpass construction and its connection to the station platform, as well as the bridge connecting the new overpass to Emonika. Additionally, construction continues on the underpass, which will link the station platform to the old station building, and on the stairs near the new temporary bus station.
