Làng Lò fishing village nominated for UN Tourism award

Làng Lò, a fishing village with over 400 years of history, has been selected as one of five representatives from Vietnam to compete for the 2026 ‘Best Tourism Villages’ award organized by UN Tourism.

Located on the central coast, the village is characterized by its distinctive red-tiled roofs and traditional architecture dating back to the 1960s and 1970s. The area covers more than 182 hectares and maintains traditional coastal lifestyles and crafts.

Other Vietnamese nominees for the award include Cát Cát community tourism village in Lào Cai, Cẩm Thanh Coconut Forest in Đà Nẵng, Măng Đen Treehouse in Quảng Ngãi, and Hữu Liên community tourism village in Lạng Sơn. The UN Tourism results are expected to be announced in the fourth quarter of 2026.
