Local community events and milestones reported across Croatia

Various local community events and milestones have taken place across Croatia. In Virovitica, the ‘Klinci u parku’ event brought together young children for cycling and running competitions, featuring categories for preschoolers and primary school students to encourage an active lifestyle.

In Sesvete, the former Sljeme factory site is being revitalized. Following years of neglect, the space hosted a STEM fest with over 50 exhibitors. Local residents and the Zelena i plava Sesvete Association expressed ambitions to transform the area into a central hub, potentially housing a music school and other public institutions.

Additionally, the Maslačak Kindergarten in Đurđevac celebrated its 40th anniversary. The milestone event, themed around the 1980s, included a photo gallery spanning four decades and was attended by local officials, former students, and staff.
