Local community and youth activities in Croatia

Overview

Local communities across Croatia have engaged in various activities focused on youth development, urban revitalization, and cultural celebrations.

In Virovitica, children participated in the ‘Klinci u parku’ event, which featured cycling and running competitions to promote active lifestyles. In Sesvete, efforts to revitalize the former Sljeme factory site included a STEM fest with over 50 exhibitors, as local associations aim to transform the space into a public hub. Additionally, the Maslačak Kindergarten in Đurđevac marked its 40th anniversary with a themed celebration.

Following these events, municipal leaders held receptions to recognize youth achievements in culture and sports. In Knin, officials honored the KUD ‘Kralj Zvonimir’ for their performance at the Croatian Children's Folklore Festival. In Crikvenica, the mayor received young athletes from the Boćarski klub Gornji kraj – Ladvić following their success at national and world championships.
