In Venezuela, a cat named Félix, who gained widespread attention after surviving 37 days trapped under rubble following earthquakes in La Guaira, has died. Despite medical efforts to stabilize the animal, veterinarian Dianny D’Amelio reported that Félix suffered respiratory arrest due to the severe physical and dehydration stress accumulated during his long entrapment. The cat had been receiving care in Caraballeda after being rescued from the debris in Catia La Mar.
