Poland emergency services receive new vehicles and equipment

Emergency services and rescue units across various Polish regions are undergoing significant modernization and facing high operational demands. In Podkarpackie, the Provincial Ambulance Stations in Rzeszów and Przemyśl are receiving four new 4x4 ambulances and bariatric stretchers through a 4.216 million PLN investment funded by the Population Protection and Civil Defense program.

In the Silesian Voivodeship, 25 Volunteer Fire Departments (OSP) have been granted funding to purchase new rescue-firefighting vehicles and specialized transport cars. Similarly, the Sońsk municipality has acquired new medical rescue equipment using funds from the Ciechanów County budget, while OSP Czarnów has received a new firefighting vehicle to replace a unit damaged in a previous fire.

In the mountainous regions, rescue services are reporting intense activity. GOPR (Mountain Volunteer Search and Rescue) units in the Beskid mountains have conducted over 40 interventions in a single month, including several high-priority cases requiring helicopter transport. In the Tatra Mountains, TOPR has managed numerous incidents ranging from cardiac issues to a fatal fall, frequently utilizing helicopters to evacuate injured tourists.
