Local entrepreneurship initiatives recognized in Cuenca and Linares

In the Serranía de Cuenca region, the ‘Tierra de Oportunidades’ entrepreneurship program, supported by CaixaBank and PRODESE, has recognized four business initiatives aimed at revitalizing the local economy and combating rural depopulation. The awarded projects include ‘La Fisioneta’, a mobile physiotherapy service in Sotos; ‘Pilates Ser en Movimiento’ in Cañete; ‘ECOCultura Serrana’, an ecotourism project in Carrascosa; and ‘Júcar Aventura’, an adventure tourism venture in Villalba de la Sierra.

In Linares, students from various secondary schools participated in training sessions focused on the social economy model. This initiative, a collaboration between the Linares City Council and the School of Social Economy, introduced young people to cooperative structures, labor societies, and foundations. The program aims to promote collective self-employment and social impact as viable career paths within the local community.
